Job Description

NHS Castle Point and Rochford CCG and NHS Southend CCG form the Southeast Essex ‘place’ within the Mid and South Essex Health and Care Partnership which is developing into an Integrated Care System (ICS) for April 2022.

Primary Care transformation and delivery is a major component of the ICS and an opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our Primary Care transformation team on a twelve-month secondment, following the promotion of the previous officer.

Southeast Essex has 48 GP practices, all of whom are signed up to eight Primary Care Networks (PCNs). Our PCNs are maturing through the development and delivery of additional projects and services for patients on top of the DES requirements.

The CCG Primary Care Transformation team have good relationships with our member practices and PCNs. We are viewed as a supportive and approachable team who go above and beyond to ensure general practice and PCNs are able to deliver on core contractual requirements.

Applicants must have experience of primary care including general Medical Services and Primary Network contracts. The skills required are to co-ordinate projects in complex and challenging environments, analyse and interpret data and you will have excellent communications skills with a range of stakeholders as well as the ability to prepare project and meeting materials to aid the team.

Candidates must have the ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task. Although the post-holder will be working as part of the Southeast Essex team, you must be confident to work autonomously. A high degree of flexibility is key, as well as a calm attitude to ever changing priorities.

Reporting to the Head of Primary Care Development and working with other team members, you will have demonstrable experience of managing and overseeing a number of projects. Knowledge and experience of the Covid Vaccination programme and primary care estates development would be advantageous.
