We have an exciting opportunity for two Band 3 Records Officers to join our newly formed Information Governance and Records Service. Working in one of the Trust’s key support functions, you’ll play an important role in helping colleagues deliver exceptional standards of patient care and customer service.

This is a busy and varied role which requires someone with good IT skills, communication skills, and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will respond to requests for health and corporate records held by Trust from members of the public and clinicians and, working as part of the team, support the management and release of the records that we hold. General duties will include:

  • Receive and respond to subject access requests for records in line with legislation in a prompt, professional and timely manner
  • Use systems to identify records
  • Retrieve, record and archive records
  • To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the standards and timescales required.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.

A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential. For qualifying staff, the Trust has a Lease Car Scheme in place and also offers a popular Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme with our partner Tusker.
