This role is an important Programme Manager position within a dynamic PMO, supporting the redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital, a project at the forefront of healthcare transformation. You will be central to one of the Trust's most ambitious ventures, working to deliver an innovative hospital scheme that will redefine services for patients, staff, and the wider community.
Hillingdon Hospital stands out as the only wave 1 hospital redevelopment in London under the Government's New Hospital Programme, a nationally prioritised initiative. As Programme Manager, you will help deliver a state-of-the-art facility for the local population, playing a key role in a high-profile capital programme recognised at both local and national levels.
Bringing proven experience and expertise as a programme and/or project manager, you will join the Redevelopment PMO team and work closely with a range of workstreams to drive forward a scheme that will deliver transformation for patients, staff, and the local community.

Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Redevelopment PMO, you will help maintain robust governance arrangements; support the development and monitoring of programme and project plans and ensure that essential programme documentation is maintained to an exceptional standard. You will also play an active role in embedding a continuous improvement and lessons-learned culture, helping the programme mature and strengthen as it moves forward.

About us
We are looking for someone who:
- Has significant experience of managing complex projects/programmes within major capital and built-environment settings, applying best-practice project management methodologies, planning/scheduling (including MS Project) and proactive risk management.
- Has a strong background in supporting Senior Managers and Boards, with a good understanding of NHS structures, governance and Board assurance, the Green Book Five Case Model and experience with record keeping and assurance.
- Demonstrates excellent planning, organisation and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment, challenge and interpret data effectively and is able to manage their own workload effectively.
- Has proven leadership and engagement skills and the ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and diplomatically with multi-disciplinary teams, handling complex, sensitive or contentious information confidently.
- Is proactive, resilient and politically astute, able to work effectively under pressure with a 'can-do' approach and ideally have experience of working within the New Hospitals Programme or similar large-scale transformation programmes.
- Due to the requirement for regular on-site presence and attendance at meetings in Central London, applicants must be based in, or within easy commuting distance of, London.
