Title: Registered Nurse

Salary: £16.13 per hour plus enhancements

Hours/Contract: 81 hours per month

Contract Type: 9 month contract (maternity)

Based: Across Cornwall mixed home/office

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our team in Cornwall.

You will work alongside a Clinical Nurse Manager and Senior Nurse as well as other healthcare professionals/agencies to provide an integrated and co-ordinated End of Life Care service that delivers care and support to people with terminal illnesses, whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families.

Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high quality, you will work collaboratively in the assessment and evaluation of patient care.

You will use your clinical skills to assess referrals to the service and ensure appropriate clinical care is delivered to enable palliative care patients to stay in their own home.

We are passionate about continuous improvement and are looking for nurses who share this passion to work with us to ensure the people we serve, and our staff are treated with respect and as individuals.

The Marie Curie Nursing Service is deployed in geographical regions which contain a series of smaller teams that are designed to provide a supportive staffing network.

What we are looking for:

  • RN Registration Level 1
  • Experience in NHS or other relevant care setting in palliative care
  • Ability to work in a complex and stressful environment and demonstrate appropriate coping mechanisms
  • Be a licensed driver with access to a car and a willingness to travel is essential
  • Organise your workload and work autonomously (predominately home based working)
