Job summary
This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, one of the largest providers of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The focus of the role is to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be involved in the person-centred care planning process, support residents with their medication requirements, and undertake staff supervisions and support staff development. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupport and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
- Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
- Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Essential
- You must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment. You should also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
