The Pharmacy team at the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS trust have an exciting opportunity to start a career path in hospital pharmacy. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable Senior Pharmacy Support Worker to join a friendly and supportive team in a forward thinking department; committed to delivering high quality patient care.

As a Senior Pharmacy Support Worker you will help supervise a team of support workers in the our busy Stores and Procurement areas. You will also be responsible for ensuring products received in the department are authentic by performing verification and decommissioning scanning at the point of receipt in the Pharmacy.

Full training will be given and you will be supported by the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Procurement and Stores.

You must have a minimum of 4 GCSE’s (grade C or above) including Maths, English and Chemistry and must have completed a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Services (equivalent). You must also be highly organised and motivated, possess good communication skills and capable of meeting multiple deadlines.

If you are interested in pursuing a career as a pharmacy technician, this post will give you an excellent foundation experience and understanding of the different areas of hospital pharmacy and after one year you would be eligible to apply, permitted there are vacancies
