Senior Staff Nurse (RGN)

Shrewsbury Hospital | Ward | Permanent | Full Time | Salary up to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week including weekend work

As a Senior StaffNurse at our Shrewsbury Hospital, youre registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior StaffNurse,you will:

  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring

  • Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be

  • Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patients needs

  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students

  • Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

Shrewsbury hospital, ranked as 'Good' in the last CQC inspection, is purpose built and well equipped with 30 en-suite bedrooms, 3 operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, an Ambulatory Care Unit, and a busy outpatients department which includes physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Our diagnostic provision includes X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI and CT facilities.
