Therapy Radiographer Band 6 – Specialist Practitioner (Fixed Term post 37.5 hrs 12 Months)

 

Applications are invited from an experienced radiographer to join our dynamic team here at Torbay Oncology Centre. You will be HCPC registered.

 

You will have a professional and practical attitude, working with confidence increasing your experience with advanced techniques and technologies.

 

We have a Support and Information Radiographer, Urology Specialist Radiographer, Gynae Specialist Radiographer and Research Radiographer in post. Radiographers have also undertaken Independent subscribing.

 

Hours of work may be flexible, and will reflect the needs of the Department. The person appointed will be required to work shift patterns to cover extended working days, machine service days in addition to bank holidays

 

The department has two state of the art Elekta Versa HD matched linear accelerators, Pinnacle 3D planning system, virtual simulation (Prosoma) and a dedicated wide bore CT for treatment planning with 4DCT.

 

Torbay provides cancer services to the people of South Devon, a population of approximately 320,000 which generates some 1200 new referrals per year.

 

Torbay is situated on the coast of South Devon, offering easy access to local beaches, the beautiful South Hams and Dartmoor. There are also good road, rail and air links to London and the North.
