Band 5 Staff Nurse – Beech Ward (Respiratory) up to 450 hours available

We are seeking to recruit Registered Nurses to work within Beech B, which is a general medical and respiratory ward, based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. We receive general medical transfers from EMAU, coronary care unit, high dependency unit and other wards both within and outside the Trust. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic nurses to work as part of our dedicated multidisciplinary teams delivering progressive and dynamic care for patients.

You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, operating as a member of the multidisciplinary team. You will also contribute as requested by the Ward Sister / Charge Nurse to the smooth running of the unit.

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.

Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: 26 + Administration cost of 4.20 = deducted at 10.20 from 1st month salary and 10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: 44 + administration cost of 4.20 = 15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and 11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
