Systemic Family Practitioner


Job Description

The post-holder will have completed an Association Family Therapy (AFT) accredited intermediate level of training or AFT accredited CYP-IAPT training in Systemic Family Practice (SFP) working as part of the multidisciplinary Integrated Psychological Therapies Service within Hywel Dda community based teams. The post-holder will undertake specialist mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions to a wide range of clinical presentations in line with their systemically informed set of skills and combined core training. The post holder will be effective in robust communication and have a developed understanding of the application of systemic ideas within Psychological Therapy Services and the wider context of which they form. Will give priority to convene families within their own area of practice, set joint goals and use a range of interventions to assist families to reach their goals. Provide a systemic understanding within a multi-disciplinary team on cases. The post holder will be able to working flexibly, in varying locations as required to meet the needs of the service to deliver a range of clinical intervention in line with the agreed service model which will include clinical assessment, risk assessment and core training interventions.
