There is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the leadership team as Team Manager within South Tyneside Psychiatric Liaison Team. The service provides timely assessment and brief interventions to service users of all ages, who are presenting with a range of mental health needs to South Tyneside District Hospital including self-harm and delirium.

The service has undergone a number of changes in the last 12 months. The post holder will be expected to be part of driving of further development of the service in line with the NHS Long Term Plan, as well as work towards achieving PLAN accreditation in the future.

The post holder will need to have a relevant registered qualification who is looking to move into a leadership position. You will need to be flexible in your approach, to respond to the needs of the service and managing the demands of a growing and busy team within an acute hospital. The role consists of day to day operational management of the team to maintain high standards of quality care and service user satisfaction, whilst meeting relevant performance targets and agendas across two organisations.

This is a 24 hour service, across 7 days, which provides a responsive interface between both NHS and non NHS services including drug and alcohol services and other professions.

We are looking for applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
