Specialist Teaching Assistant

We wish to appoint a qualified, highly motivated, and experienced Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with children with severe and complex needs from birth to seven years in a variety of environments including homes, Early Years Settings and Mainstream Schools. You will provide advice, strategies, training and direct individual teaching to meet childrens needs.
We support children with a variety of complex SEND needs including Autism so knowledge and experience in these areas is essential, as is an ability to develop excellent working relationships with families and professionals alike. You should also have a sound working knowledge of the EYFS and experience with small steps teaching programmes and specialist assessments would be desirable but not essential.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience and at least 2 of these should be working with young children with SEND.
You will initially be based at the Sherwood Energy Village, Ollerton and will work predominantly in the North of the County (Newark/Bassetlaw). However, they will also be required to work in other areas of the County in accordance with Service need.
Please note this post requires a considerable amount of traveling throughout the day therefore a full driving licence and daily use of a car is required (unless disability precludes this). Travelling expenses will be reimbursed at the appropriate rate.
