About the role
We continue to be a financially stable local authority and our investment in Adult Services has created a number of vacancies. As a result, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Moving into Adulthood Team for as a Qualified Social Worker. The team works with young people between the ages of 18-25 and we are looking for a Qualified Social Worker who have a genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people transitioning to Adult Social Care in Oxfordshire.
It is fantastic and unique chance to work with young people and their families on a long-term basis which gives Social Workers the opportunity to build rapport and establish positive relationships with the people they support.
About you
As a Qualified Social Worker in the Moving into Adulthood Team,
- You will be joining a team that is brave and innovative that listens, learns and celebrates success.
- You will empower people in your community to identify their strengths and desired outcomes, embracing new ideas and ways of doing things to improve and maintain their independence with a strong commitment to working with families and our key partners in other Adult Social Care Teams, Children's Social Care, Education and Health.
- Utilise a strength-based approach to promote people's wellbeing to help them achieve their desired outcomes.
- Support people and carers to ensure their voice is heard through advocacy where necessary.
