We have a fantastic opportunity to be part of something special in an entirely new role, as Prestige Nursing East Lancashire are looking to recruit an ambitious, driven and caring Branch Manager for our office in Blackburn to support in the organisation, development and growth of the business.

Prestige Nursing East Lancashire is a family-run business, providing c.2500 care hours per week, providing a wide range of healthcare solutions to individuals within their own homes and care settings.

Our aim is to provide a high standard of care to all of our service users, and pride ourselves on a reputation for providing excellent care services and being one of the best care and support agencies in East Lancashire.

You will play a fundamental role in building on the success of our established office, becoming a central cog in the day-to-day operations of the business, working alongside the Directors, Care Coordinators and Care Supervisors, Carers and Support Workers in promoting the best possible outcomes for our service users, their families, and associated professionals.

  • Provide leadership, management, and the highest level of support to all staff, to ensure the best possible outcomes at all times.
  • Ability to take ownership of achieving the highest levels of compliance with regards to CQC regulations, legal responsibilities, quality standards and company policy as we aim to achieve a CQC 'Outstanding' rating.
  • Ensure consistent practice of company policies and procedures, promoting our organisational culture.
  • Ownership of quality assurance practices, through, management of scheduled spot checks, service reviews and internal audits.
  • Review and improve processes to ensure efficient and effective service provision.
  • Ensure training is implemented appropriately to deliver consistent, high-quality care based on service user need.
  • Ensure appropriate scheduling of care, designed to achieve the best possible outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Maintain the ongoing recruitment and retention practices of the business.
  • Completion of care plans, risk assessments and associated documentation to a high standard to support positive outcomes.
  • Awareness of Key Performance Indicators and the ability to accurately record and report appropriate data.
  • Planning and implementation of on-call responsibilities, including own involvement in the on-call rota.
  • Ad hoc duties in covering care calls as necessary including shadowing new staff to ensure best practice.
  • Play a key role in ensuring continuous sustainable growth of the business in support of the Directors.


  • Passionate belief and commitment to provision of consistently high levels of care to all service users.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in management of domiciliary care services.
  • QCF 5 or NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations and fundamental standards required for domiciliary care.
  • Knowledge of CQC inspection requirements against the Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE's)
  • Full, clean, UK driving licence.


  • Ability to work on a full-time basis, and cover on-call as part of a rota system (one week night and one weekend per month).
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to provide responsive solutions to any matter that arises in a patient and consistent manner.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development including remaining fully aware of changes to industry regulation, best practice, etc.
  • Great people management skills.
  • Ability to manage and work collaboratively with a team of highly competent office staff and carers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with service users and customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Computer literate - highly capable of utilising in house software to roster, recruit, manage daily requirements of the business.
  • Financial literacy - familiar with/able to provide appropriate costings to customers upon request.
