What the Job Involves
In this senior role, you will provide premier executive support to the Chief Executive/Corporate Director, ensuring seamless and efficient operations within the Executive Support Team. Your responsibilities will include managing high-stakes correspondence, complex diary management, and the logistical and administrative aspects of senior leadership meetings. You will play a pivotal role in translating political visions into actionable plans, facilitating communication across directorates and stakeholders. Tasks range from drafting strategic communications to overseeing budget management, ensuring compliance with financial and procurement regulations. You will contribute to ongoing process enhancement, optimizing technology use for efficient service delivery. This role demands vigilance in maintaining confidentiality, compliance with GDPR and audit requirements, and oversight of cash transactions. As an integral part of the team, you'll support various projects, offer absence cover, and help nurture the team's development. With a flexible approach, you'll also engage with emergency control functions when necessary. This hybrid role is based in Whitechapel, requiring office presence at least three days a week, supporting a vibrant and dynamic Borough environment.
