SITE SUPERVISOR

Grade E, Points 4-5, £18,933 £19,312 depending on experience + Lettings

37 hours per week Split Shifts

52 weeks per year

Whitefriars Primary School opened as a primary school in September 2017 following the amalgamation of the former Whitefriars Junior School, which originally opened in January 1973, and Whitefriars Infant School which originally opened in September 1975. We are very lucky to have a large site including playground areas, wooded and wild exploration area, gardens and sports fields. We have two large school buildings, KS1 on one level with hall, offices, kitchen, staffroom and classrooms with KS2 building being on two levels again with a hall, offices, staffroom and classrooms.

We are looking to recruit a proactive, hard-working, enthusiastic, and dedicated Site Supervisor to help maintain our school buildings and grounds to the highest standard and to play a key role in supporting the development of our school building. Our new Site Supervisor will be an integral part of our school community with responsibility for leading and managing all premises issues, manage a team of cleaner and the maintenance and security of the site and aspects of health and safety. We want to hear from you if you have an up to date knowledge of health and safety procedures and a sound understanding of how to effectively manage the maintenance of our school buildings and grounds or willing to undertake appropriate training. The job holder should have attained the basic level of secondary education and be literate and numerate. They must have evidence of DIY maintenance skills and training in Health and Safety Assessments. They must have evidence of cleaning skills. They must be able to work unsupervised and be able to supervise others in basic and deep cleaning tasks and use of specialist equipment. The successful candidate must be organised, flexible, take pride in their work and an excellent communicator. They should be ‘handy’ in terms of basic DIY activities such as painting and putting up shelves but know when to arrange for contractors to complete work too.

The school leases out facilities for evening and weekend activities and the Site Supervisor will be required to service lettings in terms of security and cleaning tasks. The site supervisor would also be expected to attend some evening governors meetings over the year.
