The Advance Analytics and Data Science Team is the engine for Virgin Media’s forward thinking, fast paced Change function. As we constantly evolve how we target and tailor our communications, we’re looking for an Audience Analyst. This analyst will be instrumental in help stitch together the different identities a customer has across multiple devices, accounts, and products.

As an Audience Analyst in our Marketing Analytics team, you’ll own our audience data product helping us communicate to our customers by creating and then joining together different digital and customer identifiers. These identifiers once combined, can then be used for audience creation, personalisation, and campaign evaluation.

You will be working within a squad environment and should have proven experience of delivery within agile projects. Day-to-day you will write and continuously improve the code for creating and joining the customer IDs together using a combination of Data Modelling in GCP and the configuration of our Marketing Technology.

The must haves:

  • Engage with technical & business stakeholders to develop a real time customer identity solution

  • Own the roadmap for identity data models and work with stakeholders to deliver and communicate to the business

  • Build the solution in our new Google Cloud Platform (GCP), working with other engineers and analysts to test and improve the accuracy and breadth of identification

  • Provide subject matter expert knowledge to the business and build knowledge transfer documents

  • Spot new opportunities to enhance digital identification capability

Other stuff we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience building columnar data models (eg in GCP)

  • Code versioning within a code management tool such as GitHub

  • Demonstrable examples of owning and developing a real time data solution

  • Experience engaging stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver against them
