About the role

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Architect to bring technical leadership to the Digital team for our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) adoption.

As DevOps Architect you will essentially be responsible for architecting the transition over to Google Cloud Platform

You'll be working with the Digital team in a hands-on technical leadership role. Essentially providing a simple, zero-friction, self-service access to public cloud services for development and applications teams across Digital, with a focus on building modern, secure, resilient, scalable automated platforms.

The must haves:

  • Solid experience and background of working as a GCP - Google Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer
  • Recent history of working as a technical team lead
  • Experience in Architecting a GCP Google Cloud Platform solution
  • Professional experience of Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure. Deploying, testing and building CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes

Other stuff we're looking for:

  • A background in Mobile development
  • Some exposure to DevSecOps
  • Experience in security infrastructure and understanding of networking layout
  • Experience with data architecture, data science, and big data
  • Knowledge of security best-practice standards in DevOps
