Sue Ryder, Bury, Greater Manchester, Mill Gate Shopping Centre, 6-8 Princess Parade Bury BL9 0QL Our shop in Bury offers a wide range of donated goods from clothing and accessories to media and bric-a-brac all at £3 and under. We pride ourselves on keeping our shops clean and tidy and inviting to our customers. Do you like cleaning and tidying? Then this is a great role for you to help the whole team to give our customers the best experience possible! We'll give you training and support so you can help us to provide customers and donors with amazing service. Creating a clean and safe environment to help us sell loads of goodies each week! We ask for a minimum of 4 hours per week. We can be very flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have. Every item sold in our shops generates funding so we can continue to provide 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical and emotional support every year, in our hospices and neurological centres, in people's homes and in the community. We have a much-loved presence on high streets across the country - with a range of new and innovative shops, including boutiques, vintage and retro shops, and large format stores. As a member of the retail team you’ll be helping us Inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. You will also be contributing to drive up the income that generates the vital funds necessary to keep our care and support services running. About you You don’t need any experience to join us as a volunteer you just need to be willing and helpful with a flexible and enthusiastic approach. As a Sue Ryder Shop Volunteer you will have the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the day to day running of the store including but not limited to…. • Sorting and pricing stock • Stock replenishment • General customer service • Till work • Window Dressing • If cleaning is your favourite thing to do, we also have opportunities to help keep our stores safe and hygienic. How you’ll benefit In return for your enthusiasm, you will have the opportunity to be part of a wonderful team, gain new skills and experience, and most importantly contribute towards providing more care for more people in the community. How much time does the role take up? Ideally we ask that you can make a regular weekly commitment. How often you volunteer is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon during the week or weekends.
