This novel by Louise Erdrich won the fiction prize at last year’s US National Book Awards and 4 & 5 star reviews for it on Amazon UK give us an inkling of just how good the book is.
The story is set on a Native American reservation and tells the tale of 13 year old Joe as he searches for the man who attacked his mother; although I haven’t read it yet I absolutely will do when I get the chance, according to the friend who told me about the read, apparently it is so good it can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end!
