About this event
“What are the alternatives to HRT?”
This is a question that we’re asked time and time again. Some women want something to bolster their regular HRT. For others, HRT simply isn’t an option.
The good news is that there are lots of great alternative options which can support us whatever our personal menopausal journeys – but it can be confusing trying to work out what works and what’s worth spending money on.
So this is exactly what we’ll be discussing in this brilliant, live and free event with our expert panel on Tuesday 7th June at 7.30 pm GMT.
My Menopause Centre Co-Founder, Dr Clare Spencer, will be talking about prescribable HRT alternatives that you can get from your GP, Dr Carolyn Eddleston, a former GP turned acupuncture practitioner, will be talking about the power of acupuncture to help ease symptoms while Davide Ferrilli, a pharmacist, herbalist and nutritional expert will be helping us navigate the often confusing world of herbal treatments and supplements.
As with all our panel discussions, we’ll only be talking about alternatives with robust, scientific back-up – nothing faddy here!

Dr Carolyn Eddleston – Founder, Cycles of Change
Dr Carolyn Eddleston is a registered doctor, traditional acupuncturist and British Acupuncture council member. Carolyn has worked within the NHS as a GP since 1995. She observed that Western medicine excelled in life or death situations. Individuals with more chronic disorders or who failed to fit into a diagnostic box were left dissatisfied and with few treatment options. Traditional Chinese Medicine makes connections between various organ systems within the body in a way which Carolyn observed as a doctor but had no explanation for. Whilst living in New Zealand for 6 years she completed a 3 year, full-time Diploma in Acupuncture. The training transformed not only her own life but the way she understood health and illness. Her treatment style now focuses on supporting health rather than being centred solely on illness. Carolyn retains a balance between Eastern and Western techniques which she practices in her clinic.
