Thursday 8th of August is International Cat Day and, to celebrate, you can collect a free copy of Atlas of Cats at Blue Cross charity shops.
Lonely Planet is purring with excitement at the upcoming release of their Atlas of Cats. This beautifully illustrated book celebrates the diversity of feline life and explores the unique traits of 100 breeds of our favourite furry friends.
Shelters are currently overwhelmed with rescue cats and kittens, and this International Cat Day you can help Lonely Planet support Blue Cross.
For every free book handed out, Lonely Planet will make a donation of £10 to Blue Cross.
To raise awareness of the need for cat fostering and rehoming, a special kitten reading session was also held at the Blue Cross Centre in Hertfordshire on 20th July 2024. As you can see by the pictures below, the kittens loved the book too!
To get involved, you can find your nearest Blue Cross charity shop on their website. If you don’t manage to get your paws on a copy at your local shop, you can order a free copy on the Lonely Planet website or for £12.89 on Amazon.
