What is it about PATRA fashion that Grace and I like so much? The answer is two words – pure fabrics. I understand that other fashion houses use man-made fabrics to keep costs down however you cannot beat cotton, silk, and wool. As I have grown older my skin seems to have become more sensitive so to slip into a natural fabric top or dress feels so much better.
PATRA keep growing and going from strength to strength. They were established in 1964 as I turned 6 yrs old so we have been growing up together. Their range extends each season. There are our old favourites and essentials together with a wealth of new dresses, jersey tops and soft cotton knits.
Their philosophy:
“….to make the highest quality items from pure fabrics, without compromising on style. It is this ethos of affordable luxury that keeps loyal customers coming back – they know that when they buy Patra they won’t be disappointed.”
Every season Patra send me a few items to photograph and every time I put them on and think, these are so much better than I expected. I now own quite a few items from Patra especially their tops and scarves.
This is the perfect example of what I am talking about. Their Silk crew in duck egg (available in 7 other colours) is a perfect weight to wear. It has long arms so no skimping there and the body length is perfect – not too short or long.
Worn under a jacket, as I have here, illustrates exactly how it ticks all boxes – stylish, flattering, good colour choice, and finally a wardrobe staple.
Below is a the same crew worn with one of the many silk scarves that Patra produce.
This cotton linen dress in sand (below) would not normally be my style but it fits so well and worn over a polo neck means I can continue to wear it as the temperature drops.
As we are all in the middle of this pandemic and spending more time at home then it means more time in loungewear. These black Treggings from Patra are a good fit. Unlike leggings they don’t cling and they are also thicker so will keep me warm on a dog walk. The pure cotton cable knitted gilet is an alternative to a Puffa jacket and as always you can jazz it up with one of the many Patra scarves.
This Double-layered jersey dress (below) I have featured before but I am thrilled to see that Patra have repeated it this season as it is so much fun and is extremely forgiving. With a neat fitting bottom and a flared top layer, this jersey dress will create the ultimate flattering effect for you! It has a scoop neckline so I have paired it with a snood in an alternative colourway. I have loved wearing this dress as it is flirty and most unusual.
