Hair loss caused by stress is an extremely common problem for many people. Whether it’s physical or mental, any stressful life event can result in a temporary hair loss called telogen effluvium, causing hair to thin and often bald patches to appear. While this can be scary and upsetting, it’s important to remember that this type of hair loss is temporary, and whether through meditation or taking hair growth supplements, there are things you can do to help speed up your recovery process. If you’re insecure about your hair loss, however, and looking for more of a quick fix, here are 3 easy ways you can conceal thinning hair to leave you feeling like yourself in no time.

Camouflage it
The easiest way to combat the appearance of hair loss is to conceal any thinning or balding areas. There are some great options for this, such as 3d hair products containing natural fibres that cover the thin area and make your hair look thicker and fuller. These products come in a range of shades that will match up to any hair colour, and are a great solution for covering up unwanted thin patches until hair grows back. Simply sprinkle the product over the area of choice, and the fibres will attach to your existing hair, leaving you with a natural looking result that lasts all day long.

Consider a colour change
Darker hair can make the hair around your scalp more noticeable, which will make any sparse areas stand out. If you have dark hair and are concerned about your hair loss showing, consider dying your hair a few shades lighter while waiting for new growth. If you have fine hair, try and lighten your hair with some highlights for a more subtle change that will be kinder on your hair than excessive bleaching. After any hair colouring, make sure to use conditioning treatments to restore your hair and get rid of any damage that’s occurred as a result which can make thin hair look more lifeless and limp.

Use volumising products
Another quick and easy way to make your thinning hair look fuller is to use volumising products. There’s plenty of these products on the market to choose from, with shampoos and conditioners that aim to plump hair and leave it in healthy condition. When styling your hair, don’t forget to use any specialist mousses and masques you can find that are specially developed for finer hair, making sure to hold it all together with a strong hairspray.
