The Role

This is a maternity cover role for a minimum of 8 months to join the team as a full time HR Advisor. Your purpose will be to attract, retain, support and engage our teams by doing things the right way.

You will be the first point of contact in supporting our managers and teams, providing advice and support across a wide range of HR topics such as employee engagement, employee relations, performance management and organisational change.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work on a broad range of HR projects and activities.

What we are looking for?

To be successful is this role you will be highly motivated and curious with proven previous generalist HR experience in a fast paced environment and is confident in a wide variety of settings. You will know that our success is our people and you will have excellent communication and influencing skills, be a confident decision maker and understand how to build strong relationships.

Key areas will include:

  • Provide advice and guidance to all employees on a full range of HR processes and topics
  • Manage employee relations casework such as absence management, discipline, grievance and TUPE always with sensitivity and fairness.
  • Provide assistance to managers on conducting fact finding investigations, formal disciplinary and performance management matters
  • Supporting with recruitment, selection, onboarding and retention.
  • Upskilling managers in effective team managing and HR processes
  • Supporting and maintaining HR information databases and document workflows
  • Manage leaver and exit processes
  • Promoting, coordinating and occasionally delivering a wide range of learning and development activity.
  • Data reporting and analysis

Location and working pattern

We are based in Reydon and Southwold with sites across East Anglia. We promote hybrid working where employees are able to mix working from home, within one of our Southwold offices or from other Adnams sites.
