We're looking for an Assistant Site Manager to support the successful delivery of our residential developments. Working alongside the Site Manager, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on role where you'll coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities, monitor progress against programme targets, maintain health and safety standards, and support the customer journey through to handover. You'll also step up to lead the site when required, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their site management career within a supportive and growing organisation.

What you'll be doing​:

  • Supporting the Site Manager in leading site teams and subcontractors.
  • Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing on site.
  • Coordinating works to ensure build programmes and production targets are achieved.
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers and utility providers to deliver quality homes efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitoring progress and communicating updates to the Construction Manager.
  • Supporting site operations and maintaining momentum when covering for the Site Manager.
  • Ensuring homes are prepared to a high standard for inspections and handover.
  • Managing the customer journey throughout the build process.
  • Helping to control costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement, quality and collaboration.

What we're looking for

You'll have experience within the housebuilding sector and be passionate about delivering high-quality homes safely and efficiently.

Essential qualifications

  • SMSTS
  • Black CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) Certification
  • NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Experience

  • Experience working within a national housebuilder environment.
  • Strong understanding of NHBC standards, regulations and guidance.
  • Knowledge of current Building Regulations and associated documentation requirements.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing construction programmes.
  • Experience supporting site delivery from construction through to customer handover.

Additional information

  • Flexibility to travel between sites as required.
  • Full UK Driving licence required
  • Occasional weekend working may be required to support operational needs.
