Job summary
UK Security Vetting (UKSV) has an exciting opportunity as we expand our Delivery teams. Based at the heart of security for the United Kingdom, you will be at the forefront of delivery operations for the entire business, working with a diverse team and have the opportunity to progress your professional skills.
You will be involved in the case management and assessment of applications for National Security Vetting, including Counter Terrorist Check (CTC), Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV).
Due to the diverse nature of this position, you may also be assisting our delivery function with a range of national security vetting deliverables including pre-assessment delivery, case management and administrative support.
This will give you an excellent insight to different areas of the business, allow you to collaborate with multi skilled teams and progress your professional skill set with a role that will provide you with a diverse workload.
Job description
Your daily duties will also include but not be limited to:
- Assessing casework and selecting whether identified risks can be successfully mitigated
- Assessing/evaluating enquiries in the form of a written recommendation/evaluating about how to proceed
- Referring to appropriate channels in respect of higher risk cases
- Management of your own work queues for each of the above areas
Person specification
As Case Assessor within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes:
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated and organised, with a high level of resilience
- Ability to plan, manage and prioritise own workload
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
- Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office and strong data processing skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and discretion are essential
- Confidentiality is paramount in safeguarding the personal information being processed
Desirable Skills:
- Previous Decision Making Experience
- Case Management/Customer Service Experience
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security clearance needed is Security Check.
