Job description
The Strategy and PMO team provides the leadership, governance and coordination backbone of No.10 North. The team supports senior leaders, drives strategic planning, oversees programme delivery and ensures the organisation remains focused on its priorities. Working across governance, performance, business management, people and private office functions, the team coordinates activity across No.10 North and the wider Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, helping to turn ambitious priorities into effective delivery.
These are high-profile, demanding roles at the heart of government. For diary managers, your core task is to provide first class diary management and support to the Prime Minister's senior team at No.10 North, working as part of a team of diary managers. Alongside that, you will have opportunities to work with wider teams to deliver an excellent service to senior leaders and Special Advisers in No.10 North.
Role responsibilities will include:
- Owning and forward planning the diary for senior officials and senior political advisers, balancing competing demands, and making judgement calls about what gets time and what does not.
- Building the daily and weekly programme, ensuring travel, briefing and preparation time are built in rather than squeezed out.
- Working closely with counterparts in No.10 Downing Street, private offices across Whitehall, Mayors offices, and other regional partners to coordinate meetings and visits.
- Commissioning briefing and papers so that senior leaders and Special Advisers are properly prepared for every engagement.
- Acting as a first point of contact for internal and external requests for time, handling them with discretion and good humour.
- Handling sensitive information appropriately at all times.
- Supporting the smooth running of the office, including visitor and meeting logistics on site at No.10 North.

- Attention to detail, particularly in scheduling, logistics and record keeping.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience of managing a senior leader's diary.
