Working alongside the Chief Finance and Chief Executive Officers and other board-level stakeholders, youll drive commercial finance across the Trading Fund.
As the senior finance lead for driving profit growth, youll shape strategy and deliver actionable insight across high-value business functions. Your work will encompass corporate planning, pricing decisions, cost modelling, board-level analysis, and recommendations on profitability and margins.
Leading the Commercial Finance team to deliver support to the Customer Relations directorate, youll ensure that appropriate pricing and bid investments, governance and resources are operational across the organisation. Supporting departments with cost models and financial forecasts to underpin products and services, youll ensure the delivery of high-quality analysis and insight to support operational decisions. And, owning the evaluation of commercial initiatives from pricing to profit analysis, youll identify opportunities to optimise revenue and performance, providing clarity on where the business should invest.
Develop your financial expertise while helping to defend the UKs global interests
A qualified chartered accountant, youll bring exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills with a focus on assessing risk and maximising commercial impact. Youll also bring the ability to contribute to the development of financial and wider business strategies.
To succeed in this role, you should have experience of building trusted relationships across teams and business partners, and the ability to engage and influence at Executive Board level. With a forward-looking, customer-facing approach you should also have experience of negotiating and building strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.
Youll have the opportunity to make this role your own, so youll need to be committed to your ongoing professional development. You should also be able to work to tight timelines. And, while technical knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures is essential, experience of Oracle Cloud ERP software is desirable.
