Interaction Designer

Civil Service

Job Description

Job summary

This role is in the DfE (Department for Education) Funding Service Delivery team in the Funding and Financial Oversight Directorate within the DfE Digital, Data and Technology (DDT) function.

The Service Delivery division supports one of the largest funding operations across government, ensuring over 80bn of education and training funding is allocated, contracted and paid accurately and on time. This is delivered through a complex end-to-end service that spans policy design, operational processes, data and digital tools, and involves teams across the organisation working together to support providers. The service operates at pace and at scale to deliver a high-quality experience for users.

About the team

You will be joining a friendly, motivated team looking to transform the user experience of receiving and managing education funding, as well as how our internal operators use the service. We view the education funding service as not just the digital element, but also the operational processes, the data in it and the whole journey both on and offline. All the divisions involved in the service take a holistic approach and all are focused on the needs of our users.

IMPORTANT - This vacancy is using the Civil Service Numerical and Verbal tests. The deadline for completing the tests is the same as the vacancy closing date. Please ensure you complete the tests with sufficient time to complete the written application.
