As the authority for the Royal Navys nuclear submarine capability, the Submarine Directorate oversees one of the most complex and critical elements of UK defence. Covering everything from in‑service management to long‑term fleet modernisation, the directorate ensures the Submarine Flotilla remains safe, reliable, and ready to meet national security requirements.

You'll be based at HMNB Clyde, home to the UK Submarine Service. It sustains the nations continuous at-sea deterrent and supports the Royal Navys fleet of nuclear-powered submarines. As a centre of excellence for submarine operations, Clyde plays a critical role in national security and global stability.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Ready to play a pivotal role in delivering vital infrastructure and support services to one of the UKs most strategically important Naval Bases?

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our Service Delivery Group, supporting the performance and financial management of the Hard Facilities Management & Alongside Services contract at HMNB Clyde. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a complex, high-impact environment, ensuring critical services are delivered effectively while driving continuous improvement and shaping future capability.

What youll be doing

  • Contract Performance Management: Support the Senior Performance Manager in ensuring all contracted outputs, KPIs, deliverables, and obligations are consistently met, acting as a key interface with industry partners to resolve performance issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a single point of contact between MOD stakeholders, users, and suppliers to ensure service requirements are clearly understood, communicated, and delivered.
  • Technical Assurance: Provide assurance and approval of new contract requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs and appropriate authorisation from relevant stakeholders.
  • Financial & Data Assurance: Review and validate supporting data for contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to payment, and contribute to financial oversight.
  • Change Management: Support the development and implementation of contract changes, including business case input, analysis, and updates to contractual documentation.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Contribute to performance reporting, data analysis, and governance processes, providing insight to inform decision-making and drive service improvements.

Person specification

To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Proven experience in contract or performance management within a complex commercial or operational environment, including oversight of Key Performance Indicatorss, deliverables, outputs, and financial controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement and managing contractor performance issues.
