Job summary

The Strategy Manager will play a key role in Homes England to drive the Agency's mission and objectives, working with colleagues across the organisation and government.

Job description

The role will support the wider Strategy team to complete their outputs to the highest standard, working collaboratively and supportively across the Strategy, Research, Analysis and Sponsorship (SRAS) Directorate. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Development of market facing or place-based housing delivery strategies and/or interventions that deliver Homes England's strategic objectives; and

We welcome applications from the Civil Service for those seeking a secondment opportunity (please state on application if this is your preference).

Person specification

You'll be comfortable working on a range of projects as well as helping the team to implement our varied strategic programmes and projects across the Agency.

You will bring experience delivering in a high‑profile, fast‑moving organisation, using an evidence-based approach, which requires resilience and confidence.

You will be comfortable providing constructive challenge, influencing across teams, and working with ambiguity to deliver meaningful insight that supports Homes Englands mission.

We are looking for transferable project management, communication, policy, research, analytical and development skills; a genuine curiosity about the housing and regeneration policy and delivery environment, and a real desire to find new and innovative ways to meet the Agency's objectives and improve our service to Homes England colleagues and wider stakeholders.

You will also be comfortable working with evidence and data, including understanding what good analysis looks like, asking the right questions of data, and translating insight into clear strategic advice. You do not need to be a technical analyst, but you should be confident using evidence to shape recommendations and decisions.
