Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a friendly, supportive team? We are looking for a Catering Assistant to become a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team at St Michael's Primary School, Hathersage.

About the Role

As a key part of the service, you will support the Kitchen Supervisor in all aspects of the daily operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Food preparation and basic cooking
• Portion control and serving meals
• Supporting allergen compliance
• Preparing and setting up the dining area
• Providing a friendly and welcoming service to customers

Our Catering Assistants are the face of our service, helping to create a positive and enjoyable lunchtime experience for pupils.

You will play an important role in ensuring that food hygiene and health & safety standards are always maintained.

Training & Requirements

• Successful completion of the NVQ Food Hygiene Certificate will be required upon appointment
• This post requires an understanding of working with children in a school setting
