An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service!
Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a friendly, supportive team? We are looking for a Catering Assistant to become a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team at St Michael's Primary School, Hathersage.
About the Role
As a key part of the service, you will support the Kitchen Supervisor in all aspects of the daily operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Food preparation and basic cooking
- Portion control and serving meals
- Supporting allergen compliance
- Preparing and setting up the dining area
- Providing a friendly and welcoming service to customers
Our Catering Assistants are the face of our service, helping to create a positive and enjoyable lunchtime experience for pupils.

Training & Requirements
- Successful completion of the NVQ Food Hygiene Certificate will be required upon appointment
- This post requires an understanding of working with children in a school setting
