About the Role
Are you passionate about helping people get the best from digital tools and changing the way we work for the better? Derbyshire County Council is seeking a proactive and customer‑focused Digital Adoption Analyst to champion everyday digital adoption across our services.
Working within Digital Services, you'll collaborate with business partners, IT specialists, and end users to make sure our Microsoft 365 and other core solutions are understood, well‑used, and delivering measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliverpractical training, workshops and support materials that build digital confidence and capability across the organisation.
- Analyse adoption data and user feedbackto identify barriers, opportunities and quick wins, and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Develop and maintain contentfor the SharePointLearning Portal, curating Microsoft resources and creating engaging, role‑relevant guidance.
- Provide expert adviceto services on the transformational opportunities of IT systems and tools, ensuring solutions meet user needs and represent best value.
- Support change managementactivities so that new tools and features are adopted smoothly and consistently.
- Prepare concise reports and updateson progress, challenges and outcomes for stakeholders.
- Work collaborativelywith multi‑disciplinary teams to align adoption activity with project delivery and service goals.
- Stay currentwith emerging digital trends and good practice across local government and the wider public sector.
About YouWe're looking for someone who is:
- Experiencedin digital adoption, IT user support or digital transformation, with a track record of helping colleagues at all levels to embrace new tools and ways of working.
- Creative, able to design engaging learning materials, develop innovative solutions, and inspire others to think differently about digital tools and ways of working.
- A confident communicator, skilled at explaining technical concepts in plain English and influencing stakeholders across services.
- User‑centred, with a strong customer‑service ethos and a genuine interest in how digital can improve public services.
- Organised and collaborative, comfortable working across teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
- Data‑savvy, able to turn usage metrics and qualitative feedback into meaningful insights and practical improvements.
