Job Description

An opportunity has come up in Highways Services for a Storekeeper/Driver. They will assist the Stores Supervisor in delivering a customer focussed Stores function for Neighbourhood Services, countywide

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

To assist the Stores Supervisor ensuring the stores function is an efficient and effective service.

Promote a "can do" culture with staff ensuring that they receive appropriate training to empower them and contribute to continuous service improvement.

To assist in the stock management process to ensure that stock holdings are at appropriate levels ensuring continuity of work to Neighbourhood Services operations.

Ensure all equipment and shelving are maintained on a regular basis and works are recorded

To provide a customer focussed service at the Tradesman counter.

To ensure Stores and the waste transfer facility are kept in a tidy hazard-free state at all times.

Ensure deliveries are receipted, off-loaded, checked and stored appropriately

WHAT WILL I NEED?

  • NVQ Level 2 in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in working in a stores environment.
  • Ability to take ownership and deliver results.
  • Ability to promote a positive culture

If successful, you will be required to undertake and pass an in-house driving assessment as part of our pre-employment checks before any offer of appointment can be confirmed.
