Lexington is an award-winning contract caterer that focus on providing great food and service to customers. To do this we need fabulous people and we work hard to create an environment where our team members feel engaged, inspired, valued and enjoy what they do.
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our team at our new Lexington Catering site.
The successful candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and able to thrive in a busy kitchen environment. You will play a key role in supporting our chefs by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Washing pots, pans, crockery, and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and well organised
- Assisting with deliveries and stock storage
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
- Operate the till point as required, ensuring correct procedures are used
- Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
Working Pattern: Mon - Fri 07:00 - 15:30 , however full flexibility us required between 7am and 5pm
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts
- Contract catering, hotel or busy restaurant is highly desirable
