Chelmsford College is expanding its central Personal Tutor Team and we're looking for committed, proactive individuals to join us.

As a Personal Tutor, you will be a key figure in our learners' experience - building relationships, removing barriers, and helping students feel supported, safe and ready to learn. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team at a college that puts pastoral care and personal development at the heart of its mission.

This role is 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum.

What You'll Do

Lead daily attendance monitoring and follow-up within a dedicated protected window Provide immediate, personalised communication with learners and families Carry out welfare checks, early interventions and link up with teams for barrier-removal support Deliver high-quality Life Skills and Personal Tutorial sessions Maintain accurate pastoral records, ensuring consistency across the department Work within a supportive buddy system to ensure full pastoral coverage
