Scale 3 Point 6 -7 depending on experience (£15,054 - £15,294 actual salary per annum)

£13.47 - £13.69 per hour (pending annual increment April 2026)

Highwoods Community Primary School is looking to appoint a reliable, efficient and enthusiastic person who shows initiative to the position of Assistant Cook to join our existing catering team.

We will expect you to:

- work with the catering team to produce over 250 meals on a daily basis - deputise for the catering manager as required - assist with food orders and paperwork as required - serve food in the dinner hallwith awareness ofFood Safety and Allergen rules - ensure tables and counters are clean and stocked during service - perform general cleaning duties including deep cleaning
