You will work with children aged5-11, supporting learning both in the classroom and in small group orone‑to‑onesituations under the direction of teaching staff. Key responsibilities include: Supporting individuals or small groups of pupils Establishing positive relationships with pupils Implementing planned learning activities as directed by the class teacher Supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy activities Promoting positive behaviour in line with school policies Supporting the use of ICT in the classroom Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour Maintaining confidentiality at all times Training and Working Pattern Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard 5 days per week, including1 day at college Duration:21-24 months Apprentice salary (Year 1): £11,648 per annum What We Are Looking For Desired skills and qualities: Good verbal and written communication skills A patient, resilient and positive approach Ability to motivate and challenge children to succeed Good IT and interpersonal skills Polite, professional manner Hard‑workingand committed to learning Personal qualities: High expectationsof self and others Self-motivated‑motivated and able to use own initiative A love of learning and commitment to personal development Smart appearance Ability tomaintainconfidentiality Qualifications: GCSEs inEnglish,Mathsand a ScienceatGrade A-C / 9-5(or equivalent) Future Prospects This role offers excellent experience and development opportunities, with potential progression towardsQualified Teacher Status.
