Experienced installer/practical tradesperson

We are looking for: An experienced, practical person to join our team on a part-time flexible basis, helping us make and install signs and graphics for businesses across Bristol and the surrounding area.

This could be an ideal role for someone who has spent their career in a practical trade and would now prefer to work flexibly between one and three days a week rather than full time, while still enjoying varied, hands-on work.

You don't need previous signage experience. We're more interested in finding someone with good practical skills, plenty of common sense and the confidence to work carefully and professionally on customers' sites.

We'll provide training in the signage-specific aspects of the job and may offer to send you on courses.

What you'll be doing: Our work is varied, so no two weeks are quite the same. You'll help install or make a wide range of signs and graphics at our premises in St George or customer sites across Bristol, including exterior and interior signs, shop fascias, window and wall graphics, wayfinding and promotional displays. You'll usually work alongside another member of our team, with some jobs completed independently once you're familiar with our products and processes.

Who we're looking for: We're particularly interested in people who have a background in a practical trade such as shopfitting, carpentry or joinery, window fitting, exhibition installation, property maintenance, construction or similar work.

You will be: Practical, careful and reliable, confident using hand and power tools, comfortable solving problems on site and dealing with customers.

You'll need: A full UK driving licence, your own vehicle and be physically able to carry out a hands-on installation role, including lifting (We rarely have anything over 20 kilos and usually much less) and handling signage and equipment and working safely from steps and ladders. Previous experience in signage, graphics, PASMA, IPAF or CSCS would be useful but isn't essential.
