Lead the future of electric vehicle infrastructure in Lancashire
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Programme Manager to lead the delivery of our 10.1m Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) programme. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our ambitions to support sustainable transport and economic growth across the county, and an exciting time to join us as we move into the delivery phase of the project.
Working within the Environment & Regulatory Service, you'll play a key role in shaping how EV infrastructure is planned, delivered and scaled, ensuring it meets the needs of communities, partners and stakeholders across Lancashire.
About the role
As Programme Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and hands-on delivery oversight of the LEVI programme and associated EV projects. You will operate at a senior level, influencing decision-making and ensuring robust programme and project governance, effective planning, and disciplined performance management.
You will lead a skilled and knowledgeable team who are dedicated and passionate about delivering EV Infrastructure across Lancashire.
Working within a politically sensitive environment the role will require liaison with Members, other council services, partner agencies, stakeholders and the community.
As Local Government Reorganisation continues you will need to provide leadership to continuously adapt, be resilient, future-ready, and align with long-term organisational ambitions.
What we're searching for...
We are looking for a strategic, commercially aware programme leader with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure or transport programmes.
You will bring:
- Significant experience in programme and project management, ideally within transport, infrastructure or capital delivery
- A proven ability to deliver large-scale capital programmes against challenging objectives and budgets
- Experience of contract management and financial oversight in complex environments
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience of working in or alongside the public sector, including engagement with elected members or politically sensitive environments
- Excellent partnership skills, with the ability to build relationships across organisations and sectors
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive value for money
