About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at Foulridge St Michael and All Angels School. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
Working under the direction of the Site Supervisor, you will ensure that designated areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard in line with agreed quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
General cleaning, including end-of-day/closure cleaning
Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
Emptying litter bins and waste disposal
Dusting and polishing surfaces, fixtures, and fittings
Cleaning toilets and shower facilities, including replenishing supplies (e.g. soap, paper towels, toilet rolls)
Reporting any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues to the Site Supervisor or senior staff
Notifying when cleaning supplies require replenishment
Undertaking training in the correct use of cleaning equipment
Supporting additional cleaning for school events (e.g. open evenings, visits)
General Duties
Follow all school policies and Health & Safety procedures at all times
Participate in the schools appraisal process where appropriate
Carry out other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Headteacher or Governing Body
