Job title and organisation: Part time Caretaker - Woodlesford Primary School Salary: Grade C1 £28,598 - £31,022 pro rataHours: 14 Contract: Permanent Location: Woodlesford Primary School Closing Date and Time: Friday 5th June 2026 at 9am

Purpose of the Role To ensure the school site, buildings, and grounds are maintained to a safe, clean, and high standard. The Site Superintendent plays a key role in the smooth running of the school by overseeing maintenance, security, health & safety compliance, and general premises management.

Person Specification Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in premises maintenance, caretaking, or a similar role.
  • Good practical skills (basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor repairs).
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Reliability, integrity, and a proactive approach.

Desirable

  • Experience in a school environment.
  • Relevant training: first aid, fire marshal, health & safety, COSHH.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles.
