Job Description

To provide a safe and high quality service throughout the facility whilst maintaining good operational procedures and relationships between the service and members of the public

This post is considered to be a 'Regulated Role' under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act, it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. The successful candidate will therefore be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.

Building security.

Preparing rooms/areas for use by groups.

Setting up and dismantling equipment as required.

Carrying out routine planned maintenance on equipment.

Monitoring, reporting on and carrying out cleaning/maintenance duties.

Ensuring that Health and Safety standards are complied with.

Undertaking general duties.

Experience in carrying out basic care and maintenance duties of property

Working with people

Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Numerate

First Aid Certificate*

Aptitude for tidiness

Attention to detail

Prioritises tasks / action

Ability to follow routines / instructions

Capable of working unsupervised

Able to carry out handyman / basic maintenance duties

Smart appearance
