About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Propositions Analytics Consultant to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working across our wider Propositions function, you'll support the wider proposition teams make better customer and commercial decisions by turning complex data into reliable, accessible insight. You'll support areas including Commercial, Farming and Estates, Personal Lines, High Net Worth and Customer Experience, giving you excellent exposure to a wide range of products, data and senior stakeholders.
You'll take responsibility for maintaining and enhancing our business-as-usual reporting and self-service dashboards, alongside responding to ad hoc analytical requests. Using data from a variety of internal and external sources, you'll prepare, aggregate and analyse customer, product and commercial information, turning it into clear insights and accessible visualisations. This could include reporting on quote and sales conversion, gross written premium, loss ratios, complaints, customer benefits and the performance of individual propositions.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation of the Propositions reporting environment. One of your first priorities will be helping to transition a suite of business-critical dashboards to new data sources, ensuring reporting remains accurate, robust and trusted across multiple proposition areas. You'll be at the heart of shaping how data is delivered and consumed, working with stakeholders to improve reporting capability while supporting better commercial and customer-focused decision-making. You'll use tools such as Power BI, maintain reporting, applying effective data quality assurance and governance to ensure stakeholders can rely on the information provided.
This is more than a reporting role. Acting as a trusted analytics consultant, you'll work with stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate business questions into clear analytical workplans and agree priorities across dashboard maintenance, new development and ad hoc requests. You'll create and communicate a forward roadmap, manage expectations around timescales and dependencies, and present complex information in a clear and meaningful way that supports strategic decision-making.
About you
You'll bring demonstrable experience of data analytics and insight generation gained within insurance, financial services, telecoms or utilities. An understanding of how insurance products and policy lifecycles translate into data will be important, enabling you to interpret information accurately and provide meaningful customer, product and commercial insight.
You'll combine strong analytical capability with a consultative and collaborative approach. You'll be comfortable challenging thinking, identifying the wider business need behind a request and using critical thinking to reach practical, evidence-based conclusions. You'll also be able to balance competing priorities while maintaining the accuracy and quality of your work.
