Main duties of the job
Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice.
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

Job responsibilities
Responsibility for all Medical Administration in the Practice. Working with the Practice Manager, Lead Administrator and other members of the Practice team to ensure effective, efficient and timely medical administration throughout the Practice.
Administrative Team requirements as assigned, including:
Document Management and scanning
Medical Reports Administration
Coding of Medical correspondence
Supporting QOF and other performance indicators and contractual requirements
Recalls and sending invites for LTC reviews, childhood vaccinations etc
GP2GP. Monitoring incoming tasks, assigning any that are not already assigned to a member of the team.
Dealing with online access requests / queries.
Referrals - raising referrals, dealing with referral queries from patients
Patient requests for information (including Subject Access Requests), and medical reports.
Links to Primary Care Support England, dealing with patient requests, urgent enquiries and patient list validation.
Compile and submit information reports on compliance status, actions and workplan.
Submitting claims (including CQRS, PHES, GCCG, FP34), liaising with the FOD, PCN monitoring IIF.
Working conditions
Frequent, prolonged VDU use.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail essential at all times.
Occasional work in a time pressured environment.
Some exposure to distressing situations and written material.
