Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, self-motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the Anticoagulation team, in St James Hospital in Leeds, as band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Main duties of the job

The Anticoagulation service is a multi-disciplinary team working Monday - Friday within hospital and community based clinics, supporting patients requiring long/short term anticoagulation. The team assess and manage treatment for patients requiring various forms of anticoagulation for a number of clinical conditions. The team have daily clinical contact with patients on anticoagulation therapies and have both face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients about their treatment and blood results to maximise efficacy and reduce the risk of bleeding and thrombosis. The role will require the successful candidate to travel across the Leeds area.
