Exciting Apprenticeship Opportunity - Quality Control North West (QCNW)

An exciting apprenticeship opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the administration team within QCNW at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience whilst completing a nationally recognised AI & Data Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship.

As aData Management Officer, you will be supported and developed to assist the Office Manager by inputting financial data into systems and reporting to customers. You will gain practical experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, financial administration processes, data management and customer service skills, whilst working as part of a supportive and experienced team.

The apprenticeship programme is delivered in partnership with an approved training provider BPP, ensuring you receive high-quality learning, development and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship journey.

Previous NHS experience is not required as full training will be provided.

This role is office based, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

Undertake the Level 3 AI & Data Foundations Apprenticeship Standard in agreed timescales. This provides opportunities to gain practical experience and skills whilst working as a member of a team and achieving nationally recognised apprenticeship standards in Data & AI Administration. The Apprenticeship Scheme is run in conjunction with a training provider to ensure that you are supported through a high-quality training programme to develop skills in the following areas:

Reception duties

General clerical tasks

Inputting data into spreadsheets

Producing graphs and pivot tables using MS Excel

Using formulas in MS Excel to calculate financial data

Liaising with the Finance/Procurement department to resolve financial queries

Job responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As an apprentice you will be supported and developed to:

Maintain the departmental income and expenditure accounts.

Carry out annual review of template invoices.

Produce and issue regular financial information, income data, invoices, projections, and reports in conjunction with the finance department, including communication with clients as necessary

Prepare and cost quotations for users of QCNW service

Check and record all invoices for payment

Produce regular departmental activity, projections and reports

Prepare Service Level Agreements/contracts for NHS and non NHS clients.

Handle orders, including operation of the devolved ordering system.

Prepare documents for archiving and maintaining records on spreadsheets

Maintain staff attendance records including Healthroster

General office duties including mail, reception, typing, filing and stock control of office and general consumables.

Communications

Produce and issue regular financial information, income data, invoices, projections, and reports in conjunction with the finance department, including communication with clients as necessary.

Communicating with suppliers, Trust supplies department, and Trust finance department regarding orders and receipts.

Contribute to regular staff meetings.

Communicate with other staff of the department to ensure smooth running.

Hand Hygiene

To assist the Trust in reducing healthcare acquired infections (HCAIs) all staff should be familiar with all the Trusts Infection Prevention policies which are appropriate to their role. You are required to attend mandatory training in Infection Prevention and be compliant with all measures known to be effective in reducing HCAIs
