The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the departments within the Rehabilitation Services.
To work as part of a team and to carry out administrative duties on a day to day basis. This may include covering essential and appropriate operational duties in the absence of colleagues.
Main duties of the job
This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to join the Stores Team at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre. The role is varied and fast-paced, providing essential operational support to the Prosthetics and Orthotics Service through the effective management of stock, equipment orders, and deliveries.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing incoming and outgoing deliveries for the Prosthetics and Orthotics Service.
Responding to telephone enquiries and queries received by the service, ensuring messages are communicated accurately and in a timely manner.
Raising, processing, and completing equipment and stock orders.
Assisting with departmental stocktakes as required.
Checking goods received against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and escalating any discrepancies or issues to the Team Lead.
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Stores function to help maintain safe and effective patient care services.
The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively within a busy team environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Essential
- RSA 2 or equivalent in typing or word processing
- GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English
Experience

- Experience of using word processing packages
- Experience in a similar administrative role

- Experience of working within the NHS

- Knowledge of patient information systems and databases
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
