Job summary
An excellent development opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician to join our diverse team as a Clinical Pharmacy Technician supporting the Discharge Lounge.
As part of this role your will be working with staff and patients to assist a timely discharge from hospital.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating with the discharge lounge staff, ward staff and pharmacy staff to ensure the timely supply of TTO medication.
This is a unique role within this Trust.
The post requires the successful candidate to be self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills and hold a strong team working ethic, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
A requirement to participate in evening working, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis will be necessary within the pharmacy department.

Main duties of the job
With a patient-focused approach, you will;
*Support the pharmacy dept in the provisions of complete pharmaceutical care to patients
*Deliver a high-quality service to the dsicharge lounge
Working with staff and patients to assist a timely discharge from hopsital
*Act as a role model and provide training and mentoring to junior staff members
*Support the in-patient pharmacy where required
*Carry out accuracy checking commitments
Key person specification requirements
*A nationally recognised pharmacy technician qualification and be registered with the GPHC
*Currently practicing as a registered pharmacy technician with at least one year's post qualification experience.
*A national recognised accredited accuracy checking qualification
*A professional attitude with the ability to motivate self and others
*The ability to remain calm under pressure
*A flexible approach and commitment to accommodate the needs of the service
*A strong attention to detail
*Experience working as a clinical pharmacy technician or similar capacity is desirable

Essential
- GCSEs -- Mathematics and English (Grade
- B/5) and four other subjects including
- Science (Grade C/4)
- Or

- successful achievement of the pharmacy
